Malta Vella Schmoozes with Corrupt Guterres at UN No Mention of Caruana Galizia, Collusion

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Maxwell Book

UN GATE, May 23 – When Malta took over presidency of the UN Security Council on February 1, 2023, for what would turn out to be a failed presidency, on January 31 Inner City Press wrote to the Maltese Mission to the UN to request in advance access to its February 1 press conference by Ambassador Vanessa Frazier.

To submit the request, Inner City Press wrote to the Malta Mission at its Blue Book address and at the UN email addresses listed by its purported partner, one Adam Kuymizakis.

From the Malta Mission, nothing at all. Perhaps not surprising, given the much worse done to investigative journalist Caruana Galizia.

On May 23, UNSG Antonio Guterres, himself an attacker of journalists, gushed about Malta without a word about Caruana Galizia: "The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. George Vella, President of Malta. The Secretary-General expressed appreciation for Malta’s contribution to the Security Council, as elected member for the 2023-2024 term.  The Secretary-General and the President also discussed recent developments concerning Libya, Ukraine and the Middle East Peace Process as well as issues related to migration." Birds of a a feather.

Now, a week into a so-far failing UNSC Presidency, the International Monetary Fund (which Inner City Press covers both in person and by WebEx, which the UN and Malta's Mission following it disallow and ban the Press from) has issued a report on Malta including:

"existing and emerging risks. The close monitoring of high-risk sectors, especially virtual financial assets, gaming, and sectors associated with Malta’s Citizenship by Investment program, should also continue."

Yes, "Citizenship by Investment" and gaming, and crypto. Malta is for sale, as the rest of the month in the UNSC may continue to show. Inner City Press' written questions to the Maltese Mission have still not be answered, or even responded to. Totally corrupt.

Inner City Press asked the Malta Mission, and the UN, about the MONUSCO scandal - sex for UN Volunteer jobs paid with taxpayers' funds - in the DRC Congo. Inner City Press exclusive here. Also: "On December 2, 2022 I was told to file an appeal with DSS and I did on December 5 - you should ensure response (there has been none) and granting. See here."

This while Inner City Press is banned from entry, which it had for years until it exposed UN corruption. No response to this July 2021 appeal. Impunity.

Our requests and questions remain; we will publish any responses, and also on non-responses. Watch this site.
