Bill to Strip UN of Immunity
and Exemption from First Amendment Introduced
in Congress

UN GATE,
Feb 23 – Immunity corrupts,
and total immunity - impunity
- corrupts absolutely.
So it has
been for the United Nations,
which for example brought
cholera to Haiti with Nepalese
"peacekeepers," killed 10,000
people and paid not a penny.
Current Secretary
General Antonio Guterres had
Inner City Press, which
questioned his financial
disclosures, violently ousted
from the UN and has banned it
since.
When for
Inner City Press the law firm
Quinn Emanual wrote
to Guterres' head of
Communications Melissa Fleming
asking for a dialogue about
Inner City Press' ouster and
free press principles, Fleming
didn't even answer.
Impunity.
Likewise when
survivors of the October 7
attack sued the UN and UNRWA
for the participate of their
staff in the attack, the UN
cited diplomatic immunity.
Inner City Press in writing
asked the UN why; spokesman
Stephane Dujarric has yet to
respond.
Now a bill
introduced by Senator Mike
Lee, with Senators Marsha
Blackburn and Rick Scott, and
Representatives Mike Rogers
and Chip Roy, the Disengaging
Entirely from the United
Nations Debacle (DEFUND) Act,
would, among other things:
Repeal the United
Nations Headquarters Agreement
Act, which allowed the UN to
establish a sovereign district
in New York and
Strip UN
employees and officers and
those of any mission to the UN
of diplomatic immunity in the
U.S.
Those two
provisions would go a long
way. Could the US Congress
pass them? Watch this site.
