As Google Is Sued By Googles Discovery Allowed Into Theories of Damages

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Feb 5 – Google has been sued by Googles, a platform formed in the mid-1990s for children's content.

On December 3 U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Magistrate Judge Stewart D. Aaron held a discovery dispute proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

Google and Alphabet want to block certain requested depositions. They prevailed and blocked as to Susan Wojcicki, Terri Chin and Andrew Abrams.

But Adam Berea will be deposed - as will one of these three: Malik Ducard, Ruchi Bezoles or Pavni Diwanji.

Third party deponent Timothy Alger will be limited to three hours.  Held in abeyance, for now, is Ramsey AL-Salam.

Judge Aaron again said, lawyers in the SDNY are officers of the court and he relies on their truthfulness.

On February 5, Judge Aaron held another proceeding. Inner City Press again covered it. Judge Aaron made detailed inquiries and ruled that Google may solicit testimony regarding Plaintiff's theory or theories of damages. A joint letter is due on February 9.

The case is SM Kids, LLC v. Google LLC et al., 18-cv-2637 (Schofield / Aaron)
