Brown Charged With 2015 Bronx Murder Escape Death Penalty Now Cites McCoy

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - The Source

SDNY COURTHOUSE, July 14 –  Bryant Brown is charged with the murder of Albendris Nunez in Devoe Park in The Bronx on December, 2015.

On July 14, 2020 he appeared before U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Paul A. Engelmayer. Inner City Press covered it.

Back on April 3, the US had informed Judge Engelmayer that they do NOT intend to seek the death penalty against Bryant Brown.

Still, learned counsel Florian Miedel will remain on the case with Federal Defender Clay Kaminsky.

One of the issues in the Second Circuit Court of Appeals' McCoy case, on which the Assistant US Attorney said she needs to learn more.

The next, Pre-trial, conference is set for September 17.

The case is US v. Brown, 20-cr-12 (Engelmayer)
