SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Dec 3 –
US Secretary
of Labor
Martin J.
Walsh sued MBB
Services and
its Bronx gas
stations for
violations of
the Fair Labor
Standards Act
of 1939,
seeking to
recover for
victims back
wages,
liquidated
damages and an
injunction.
On November
28, 2022, U.S.
District Court
for the
Southern
District of
New York
Magistrate
Judge Robert
W. Lehrburger
held a
proceeding.
Inner City
Press covered
it.
Judge
Lehrburger
inquired into
the
defendants'
affirmative
defenses, and
proposed some
new filings in
December.
Counsel
said they were
traveling to
an unnamed
country from
which work
e-mail could
not be
accessed or
even checked.
So the
deadlines were
pushed to
January 4.
The
case is Walsh
v. MBB
Services, Inc.
et al.,
22-cv-2206
(Cronan /
Lehrburger)
