As UN Bans Inner City Press It E-Asks Spox Eri Kaneko of Cameroon UN Rapes Virus Chad Sri Lanka #LuandaLeaks NYPD Pakistan Fleming Bans Press 2000+ UNanswered

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - CJR - PFT

UN GATE / SDNY COURT, Feb 17 –  Inner City Press on 5 July 2018 was banned from entering the UN, two day after it was physically removed from conducting interviews outside meeting about the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres' $6.7 billion budget.

Then Guterres' Department of Global Communication, run by Melissa Fleming, issued a letter banning Inner City Press from the UN - for life. With no due process, no right of appeal.  Guterres has put the UN in the US Press Freedom Tracker, here. Guterres' Spokesman Stephane Dujarric falsely promised on camera that he would be answering banned Inner City Press' questions - but see below.

On February 17 three hours before an 11-minute noon briefing not by Stephane "French Whine" Dujarric - he's in Orlando - but Eri Kaneko who issued propaganda here about Coronavirus, Inner City Press submitted yet more questions, including why it continues to be lawlessly banned from entering to ask questions in person. Inner City Press has asked:

February 17-1: On Cameroon, what are the belated comments and actions of SG Guterres on that on Friday, February 14, 2020, soldiers stormed Ngar village also known as Ngarbuh in the Donga Mantung division, North West region, killing dozens and burning several others alive.  Here for the UN are the names of some victims of the massacre:  Pa Awudu, Pa Abdul Sunjo, Ma Kwicherreh, Yaya, Sikah, Justin, Alidou Bah, Kinuyui, Manjo Seka, Ringyu, Mami Suley, Ngond Hassana ( a pregnant woman).     Meanwhile, sources from the neighboring Saan village attest that a total of 13 houses are now known to have been burnt, 27 deaths (many burnt beyond recognition), and several missing.

February 17-2: On Coronavirus / COVID-17, now that for example Mobile World Conference 2020 in Barcelona can be canceled due, UN partners like Facebook and Amazon say, to the risk of spreading the virus, please immediately this morning answer with what precautions the UN is taking, including with respect to both diplomats and tourist busses. This is on deadline.

February 17-3: On UN sexual abuse as Inner City Press asked in writing on the morning of February 4 with no response from any of you, now Associate Spokesperson Eri Kaneko who previously answered Inner City Press' questions under Ban Ki-moon and even SG Guterres should immediately answer: On UN sexual exploitation and abuse - alleged - this is a request that you immediately provide the "if asked" information about the new sex abuse cases data dumped on Feb 4, two hours before SG Guterres' belated press conference, apparently involving UN rape in Darfur and CAR, sex abuse by Uganda "peacekeeper" in South Sudan and from "the Congo" and Benin in CAR, etc (see below)

February 17-4: On Chad, what are the comments and actions if any of SG Guterres on that the head of a human rights group in Chad is being “secretly detained” for saying on social media that President Idriss Deby Itno had been hospitalized.  The authorities confirmed that head of the Chadian Organization for Human Rights (OTDH) Baradine Berdei Targuio was being investigated in connection with “cyber crime.” But they dismissed any claims that his life was in danger.  In a statement, Amnesty said Berdei Targuio was arrested at his home in front of his wife and children by “armed and masked men” on January 24.  “He was reportedly taken to the National Security Agency,” Chad’s domestic and foreign intelligence agency, “and his family has not seen him since."

February 17-5: On Sri Lanka and UN Peacekeeping, given previously duplicity and refusing to answer, this morning immediately state that status of UN Peacekeeping using the soldiers under Shavendra Silva, now that Silva has rightly been hit with sanctions and an entry ban by the US for human rights violations, and in light of Silva having served on the UN SG Senior Advisory Group on Peacekeeping.

February 17-5: On corruption and Angola, on which you refused to answer yesterday, what are the comments and actions if any of SG Guterres on the Luanda Leaks exposure of Isabel dos Santos of Angola, and as Inner City Press has repeatedly asked, what are his comments and action on the repeated retweeting of Isabel dos Santos' denials by his close staffer Aguinaldo Baptista? After, for example, exposure of the corrupt urban development project near Luanda for which some 3,000 families were driven from their homes to make way for the development? And now after The Portuguese bank EuroBic has announced it will end its business relationship with Africa's richest woman, Isabel dos Santos.

February 17-6: Immediately describe the role of Angola and the dos Santos family in the campaign of Antonio Guterres ot become UNSG.

February 17-7: On UN sexual exploitation and abuse - alleged - as Inner City press asked in writing in 2019 without response, this is a request that you immediately provide the if-asked information for the report of UN rape in Darfur data dumped to Conduct and Discipline website on the morning of January 17 and the "if asked" information about the two new cases of sexual exploitation in CAR by Cameroonian UN "Police" that were put online after 5 pm on December 30 (a day when you refused to answer 7 questions including on previous UN rapes), and the (Dec 19) rape case by a UN Volunteer in DRC in June 2019 - what nationality? What's been done for the victim(s)? and the Dec 9 sex abuse cases in CAR by Gabon, DRC and Morocco UN "peacekeepers, and the Dec g  about the Office of the Special Envoy for the Sahel, and the two more November 26, 3 pm cases of sexual exploitation in CAR by Cameroon troops in September 2019 (!)

February 17-8: On SG Guterres' Town Hall in Geneva, on which you refused Inner City Press' Dec 20 question, what is your summary of what SG Guterres said given that Inner City Press has now publishing more of it? Please explain SG Guterres' statement that interns should not (ever) be paid, and how this is not create unfair advantage for the most affluent?

February 17-9: As previously and repeated asked, where has UNSG Antonio Guterres been for the past week(s), and how much public money has he spent? Is he going directly to and from Pakistan? Previously from Addis? Or any stop overs? At what cost?

February 17-10: On press freedom and the US / NYC government, what are the comments and actions if any of SG Guterres and separately USG Melissa Fleming on that on December 9, 2019, the NYPD (which to date has refused to release records about the secret "banned from the UN" list by SG Guterres and the USD of DSS) issued a subpoena to Twitter requesting private data connected to the account of Tina Moore, police reporter? The department requested the data under the authority of the USA Patriot Act, a post-9/11 anti-terrorism law...
