FEDERAL
COURTHOUSE, May 3 – In a high
profile January 6 case, US v.
Tarrio,
Pezzola,
Nordean, Rehl
and Biggs,
the conditions in jail and of
discovery came into focus on
May 2, 2022. Inner City Press
live tweeted here.
Now on May 3,
2023, the DDC jury convicted
Enrique Tarrio, former leader
of the Proud Boys, and three
allies of a seditious
conspiracy. Jurors also
convicted the four men — Ethan
Nordean, Joseph Biggs and
Zachary Rehl, beyond Tarrio —
of conspiring to obstruct
Congress’ proceedings and
destroying government
property.
Back on March 29,
2023, Inner City Press was in
the DDC courthouse when FBI
Confidential Human Source
"Aaron" was being
cross-examined by the
prosecutors. Live tweeted
thread here:
[Video shows
crowd approaching Capitol]
AUSA: That's you
marching?
Witness: Walking.
AUSA: Let's go to 4:22,
please, just for the witness.
Apologies to Ms. Harris.
AUSA: Play it
without the sound... You are
walking with some purpose,
aren't you?
Witness: I
wouldn't call it purpose. That
vest is heavy too.
AUSA: You felt
powerful, like on December 12,
with all those Proud Boys with
you? Witness: Those weren't my
thoughts.
ASUA: You
see this fellow on the right
with the orange tape - what's
that? Witness: It was to
signify that we were one of
the non aggressors. We thought
Antifa would infiltrate.
AUSA: Regarding
that black fence, you
volunteered to the FBI you
grabbed it?
Defense:
Objection!
Judge Timothy
Kelly: Overruled.
Witness: I told
them I pulled the barricade
back the way it had been
AUSA: You
were not trying to
de-escalate, were you?
Witness: I thought it wouldn't
go any further.
AUSA: That's you,
pumping your fist? Witness: It
was like a circus.
Judge Kelly
has declared the lunch break.
Inner City Press is heading to
other DDC trials and cases- US
v Pras Michel is bogged down
in jury selection...
Earlier, Aaron was
asked about a selfie he took
with Tarrio and said, he was a
public figure, like a movie
star, that he'd have taken a
selfie with Jeffrey Dahmer, too.
