EDNY
COURTHOUSE,
May 6 –Jail conditions in the
Metropolitan Detention Center
in Brooklyn, where Federal
defendants from the Southern
District of New York and EDNY
are held, have reached a new
low, according to EDNY Judge
Lashawn Dearcy Hall. Inner
City Press has obtained and is
publishing the transcript of a
hearing last week in which the
judge said
"At a certain
point the MDC is going to have
to understand that the judges
of this court are no longer
going to tolerate the
mismanagement of the medical
care of the defendants that
are in their charge. And so,
it appears to me that our
efforts up until this point
haven't been sufficient. And
so, I'm going to try another
route." Transcript on Inner

Inner City
Press will continue to cover
the case(s)
