Jan 24 – Primary Tuesday and
then Wednesday, there was no
Trump, not at the SDNY
courthouse. [In preparation
for Thursday, sources spoke to
Kurt Wheelock, below, here and
here.]
But
Tuesday evening after Nikki
Haley spoke, vowing to fight
back to South Carolina and
beyond, the Trump event had
surprisingly guests.
Some
focused on Alina Habba, there
to the side of the podium with
a wall of flags behind her.
But there too was George
Santos, in another room,
promoting himself. But
wasn't he on pre-trial
release?
Hadn't he gotten
it extended, in the docket,
from New York to include DC
before he was thrown out of
Congress?
Quickly
some tried to smooth it over,
saying he'd given notice of
this trial. But that's not how
it was supposed to work, at
least not in SDNY. In the
Handler case, for example,
there was a letter seeking
approval for a one day trip to
Ohio. The District Judge had
to approve it, then add to
work out the details with
Pre-Trial. Details,
details.
In the
Carroll case court was skipped
on Wednesday too, resuming
they now said on
Thursday. Late Wednesday
Kurt Wheelock heard from
sources how they would try to
do it
