In OneCoin Case Irina D Gets Delay As Inner City Press Appeals Sealing Greenwood Letters

By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Podcast Order

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Nov 27 -- For scam crypto currency OneCoin, on November 9 Irina Dilkinska pleaded guilty, with sentencing set for February 2024. Thread here.

On November 27, this was delayed: "as to Irina Dilkinska; Sentencing, previously scheduled for February 14, 2024, is hereby rescheduled for March 1, 2024 before Judge Edgardo Ramos."

Now long ago convicted OneCoin money launderer Mark Scott has asked for yet another delay in his sentencing, into 2024. This as OneCoin co-founder Sebastian Greenwood's sentencing letters are STILL sealed, entirely.

Back on September 12, 2023 SDNY Judge Edgardo Ramos sentenced Greenwood to twenty years in prison. Inner City Press was there and live tweeted, thread here:

Potter: We submitted 33 letters [each and every one sealed in full] He was far from his family. He's not eligible for good time credit. Ebbers did not plead guilty, and was released after 13 years.

Judge Ramos: Mr Greenwood, I sentence you to 240 months [Twenty years] for this massive fraud

On October 10, Inner City Press filed Notice of Appeal of the sealing of all of Greenwood's letters, and is still seeking pro bono counsel for the appeal. Judge Ramos' order is here.
