Man Who Fled Police in
Honda With Gun Pled Guilty Felon
in Possession US Gets 37 Months

July 30 – A man who fled
police when stopped in a red
Honda with tinted windows and
a paper temporary license only
to be charged as a felon in
possession of a firearm pled
guilty on March 20 before U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Judge Katherine Vernon S.
Broderick. Inner City Press is
covering the case.
He had
previously been convicted on
narcotics charges in SDNY in
2015. Now he was found with a
purple, SCCY pistol. The
complaint had stills from
body-cam video.
Sentencing
was set for July 30.
On July 18 the
defense wrote in asking for a
bottom of the guidelines
sentence of 30 months.
On July 23 the US
Attorney's Office wrote in
asking for 37 months.
On July 30 he was
sentenced to 37 months: "24 of
those to be served consecutive
to the State Court sentence
and the remaining 13 months to
be served concurrently."
