China Bank Asked Discovery About Inter Milan in SDNY But Stayed As Not Adjudicative

SDNY COURTHOUSE, March 8 – China Construction Bank (Asia) Corporation Limited filed an ex parte application to take discovery for use in contemplated foreign proceedings in Italy and Hong Kong concerning F.C. Internazionale Milano S.p.A..

Then Suning Sports International Limited and Zhang Kangyang intervened.    

   On March 8, 2023 U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York  Judge Jesse M. Furman held proceeding. Inner City Press covered it. 

 The intervenors argued that the foreign proceedings are "not adjudicative."

Judge Furman, after hearing about and distinguishing cases before SDNY Judges Kaplan and Castel, granted a motion by intervenors to stay - and requested a joint letter by March 10.

 The case is In Re: China Construction Bank (Asia) Corporation Limited, 23-mc-17 (Furman)
