SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Feb 6 – Jeffrey Hastings was
charged in 2020 with
conspiracy to commit
securities fraud involving
SAEX. On November 29, 2021 he
was sentenced to 36 months and
restitution.
On February 24, U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York Judge
Gregory H. Woods held a
proceeding. Inner City Press
covered it.
SAEX
(SAExploration Holdings) has
put in a request for
restitution.
Jump cut to
January 30, 2024 when in the
same case Brent Whiteley asked
for no jail time, saying he
"has cooperated with the
Government."
Later in the day,
another cooperator Michael
Scott wrote in to ask for no
jail time, citing his
cooperation.
On February 6 the
US Attorney's Office wrote it
about Scott's substantial
assistance and said it intends
to move under 5K1.1(a) on
February 13.
