By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Maxwell Book
BBC - Guardian UK - Honduras - ESPN

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Feb 6 – Jeffrey Hastings was charged in 2020 with conspiracy to commit securities fraud involving SAEX. On November 29, 2021 he was sentenced to 36 months and restitution.

On February 24, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Gregory H. Woods held a proceeding. Inner City Press covered it.

SAEX (SAExploration Holdings) has put in a request for restitution.

Jump cut to January 30, 2024 when in the same case Brent Whiteley asked for no jail time, saying he "has cooperated with the Government."

Later in the day, another cooperator Michael Scott wrote in to ask for no jail time, citing his cooperation.

On February 6 the US Attorney's Office wrote it about Scott's substantial assistance and said it intends to move under 5K1.1(a) on February 13.

The case is  US v. Hastings, et al., 20-cr-534 (Woods)
