By Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Maxwell Book

SDNY WHITE PLAINS MAG COURT, Feb 13 -  In the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York in White Plains on February 13, an arraignment was held by Magistrate Judge Andrew E. Krause on a former Postal Service employee for opening and stealing packages on his route in New Rochelle.

Inner City Press covers the SDNY Mag Court(s). Related Mag Court live-tweeted thread (more on Patreon here) vlog here

The Postal Service Office of the Inspector General surveilled and detained the defendant, Fausto Lucas. After being read his Miranda rights, he spoke and admitted stealing money orders and marijuana.

The prosecutors sought multiple adjournments in the case, but finally indicted it. Lucas pled not guilty on February 13, and remained out on bond.

The case is US v. Lucas , 23-cr-83 (Seibel / Krause)
