SDNY COURTHOUSE,
March 14 – Melvon Adams
is charged with being a felon
in possess of a firearm, to
wit, a black Taurus Spectrum
.380 caliber semi-automatic
pistol.
On February
24, 2021 U.S. District Court
for the Southern District of
New York Judge Alvin K.
Hellerstein held a proceeding.
Inner City Press covered
it.
The gun was
found in Adams' apartment in
The Bronx, by his parole
officer.
Judge Hellerstein
asked about the evidence and
discovery, and what motion
might be made.
He set a
next proceeding for March 9,
asking to be told what motions
will be filed by then.
Jump cut to
November 17, 2022, when
defendant pleaded guilty:
"Minute Entry for proceedings
held before Judge Alvin K.
Hellerstein: Change of Plea
Hearing as to Melvon Adams
held on 11/17/2022. Deft.
pres. Deft. w/draws previous
plea of not guilty and enters
a plea to count 1; PSI
Ordered; Sentencing set for

And on March 14,
Adams got 57 months:
"Sentencing held on 3/14/2023

3 years supervised release."
