SDNY COURTHOUSE,
April 24 – Kwasi
Busia is
charged with
wire fraud and
false
statements to
the US Small Business
Administration.
On
April 5,
2023 U.S.
District Court
for the
Southern
District of
New York
Magistrate
Judge Ona T.
Wang held
detention or
bail
proceeding.
Inner City
Press went and
covered it, the
only media in
the Mag Court.
Busia entered
the courtroom
forced to hold
his pants up
with his hands
- his
belt was been
taken. The Assistant
US Attorney
agreed he
could be
released on
$50,000 bond
to be signed
by one
financially
responsible
person, and
one person as
moral suasion. He
has two weeks
to meet this
condition. He
was given
back his belt,
and left the
courthouse.
On
April 24,
2024, after
many
"continuances
in the
interest of justice,"
Busia
was formally
indicted
and his case
assigned to
District
Judge Victor
Marrero.

Busia,
