by Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Book Substack

SDNY COURTHOUSE, Jan 31 – Two defendants charged with gun trafficking were presented on January 31 in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Magistrates Court and detained. Inner City Press was there, the only media in the SDNY Mag Court, thread:

OK - now in gun trafficking presentment of 2 defendants in SDNYLIVE  Magistrates Court

Judge: Do the defendants consent to pre-trial detention?

CJA counsel for Shaqoya Hall: We consent.

AUSA: She had 8 guns in a backpack in Manhattan, for sale for $23,000... Mr Hampton sent texts about dozens of guns

Hampton's lawyer: It is to my client's credit that he admitted to being a member of a gang. He should be released. The gun sales are mostly his co-defendants'

Judge: I order Mr Hampton detained.
