SDNY
COURTHOUSE,
April 15 – A defendant fleeing
from Federal access device
fraud charges in Colorado was
presented and detained on
April 15 before U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York
Magistrate Judge Katharine H.
Parker. Inner City Press was
there, the only media in the
SDNY Mag Court.
The AUSA
said that defendant Hill also
has warrants in Nebraska, and
Nassau and Westchester
Counties in New York.
The
Federal Defender said, Let him
stay out on bond to resolve
those warrants before they
transport him to Colorado.
It was
pointed out that Colorado's is
not necessarily an extradition
warrant.
Judge
Parker, following Pre-Trial
Services' recommendation of
detention, order just that,
and transport to Colorado in
two weeks.
The case is US v.
Hill, 24-mj-1494 (Parker)
