SDNY
COURTHOUSE,
June 25 – A man arrested with
a gun in back of a rideshare
cab in the South Bronx in
February who turned out to be
a felon came to plead guilty
on June 25 before U.S.
District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrate Judge Robyn F.
Tarnofsky. Inner City Press
was there, the only media in
the SDNY Mag Court.
The complaint
states that the previously
conviction was for gang
assault, and that the gun was
a Raven Arms .25-caliber
semi-automatic pistol.
The
prosecutors have given the
defense a so-called Pimintel
letter estimating the
sentencing guideline as 27 to
33 months. The assigned
District Judge Victor Marrero
has set sentencing for October
4 at 11 am.
The case is US v.
Murray, 24-cr-404 (Marrero /
Tarnofsky)
