SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 1 – Sex offender Elvin
Heskey in 2017 was sentenced
to 95 months in prison and
nine years of supervised
release.
On April 28, 2023
Heskey appeared, detained,
before U.S. District Court for
the Southern District of New
York Magistrate Judge Ona T.
Wang. Inner City Press was
there, the only media in the
SDNY Mag Court.
Heskey was charged with not
registering under SORNA, and
using a computer without the
required monitoring software.
He was to see the
District Judge who sentenced
him, Richard Mr. Berman, on
May 16 at 9 am.
That case is US
v. Heskey, 15-cr-228 (Berman)
On
June 1, 2023,
Heskey
appeared again
in SDNY
Magistrates
Court, with a
new case
number. He was
detained.
This
new separate
case is US v.
Heskey,
23-mj-4378
