SDNY COURTHOUSE,
Oct 20 – Adron Douglas was
arrested for breaking into an
ATF vehicle and stealing
ammunition and Tasers.
On October
20 he was brought before
U.S. District Court for the
Southern District of New York
Magistrate Judge James L.
Cott. Inner City Press was
there, the only media in the
SDNY Mag Court.
His Federal
Defender asked for release on
bond, but Judge Cott asked if
it would be the same The
Bridge residence in The Bronx
where the ammo would found in
his microwave.
The
Assistant US Attorney added
that Douglas in his
post-arrest statement had
acknowledged putting oatmeal
to cook or heat for 9 minutes
in his microwave without
remembering he had ammo on
it. Judge Cott
ordered him detained.
On November 28,
Adron Douglas was back in the
Magistrates Court, presided
over by Magistrate Judge Sarah
L. Cave. He consented to a
felony plea before the
Magistrate Judge; his case was
wheeled out to District Judge
J. Paul Oekten.
The case is
US v. Douglas, 23-cr-620
(Oetken /Cave)
