Man Charged With Receiving Fentanyl by Mail Gave iPhone Code to Agents Now Mulls Plea

by Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Book Substack

SDNY COURTHOUSE, March 27 – A man in detention on charges of receiving fentanyl by mail appeared March 27 before U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York Judge Richard M. Berman. Inner City Press was there, the only media in the courtroom.

The complaint recounts the defendant, upon his arrested, giving his iPhone passcode to the agents. In his phone they found an order for firearms: Glock 19, Sif PMX 9mm.

It was said that a pre-trial resolution is near; a next conference was set for May 9 at 11:30 am.

The case is  US v. Reyes, 23-cr-179 (Berman)
