SDNY COURTHOUSE,
June 18 – After a circus-like
civil case involving Guo
Wengui in the U.S. District
Court for the Southern
District of New York, which
Inner City Press closely
covered, here,
March 15, 2023 saw the
unsealing of a twelve-count
Indictment of Miles Guo
onvarious wire fraud,
securities fraud, bank fraud,
and money laundering charges.
On May 22, Inner
City Press live tweeted jury
selection, here.
Many
were excused from the jury

And it did. Inner
City Press live tweeted the
opening and first two
witnesses, an FBI agent about
the Greenwich search, and a
Dallas based Lamborghini
dealer, thread here.
Jump cut to June
15, three weeks and and the
trial moving too slowly. The
defense wrote in, "We write in
response to the Court’s order
that trial next week will be
held from 9:30 am to 5 pm to
allow the government
additional time to catch up to
its previous trial
estimate.... spreadsheet
attached as Exhibit A, shows
that the defense is regularly
left with little time to
prepare for
cross-examinations, which
leads to, among other things,
prolonged examinations."

witness names) on Patreon

the first extended day, thread
On June 18, more
from the witness Ms. Reyes, thread:
Ms Reyes still on
the stand. AUSA: I show you
these documents - Guo's
lawyer: Objection. Judge: Step
up. [Whispered sidebar]
AUSA: In your
time at G-Clubs did you see
documents where G-Clibs
Operations was the lender?
Reyes: Yes. AUSA:
How much are these transfers
for? Reyes: $20 million and
$15 million
AUSA: Did you
become aware of US government
seizure of G-Club funds in
Mercantile Bank? Reyes: Yes. I
was concerned. I had been
working hard. Then this email,
to cancel all my signatory
rights
Reyes: So I
replied that I understood
[sobs] that I would lose my
signing rights AUSA: Was this
a difficult time for you at
G-Clubs? Reyes: Yes.
