UN Melissa Fleming Partners with China State Media Xinhua While Banning Inner City Press

by Matthew Russell Lee, Patreon Book Substack

SDNY COURTHOUSE, June 16 –   How captured is the UN, by China and Chinese state media?

Well last week SG Antonio Guterres head of communications Melissa Fleming lavished praised on Xinhua:

"Fleming expressed appreciation for Xinhua's longstanding commitment to developing relations with the United Nations and its efforts toward achieving the UN 2030 SDGs.  She also echoed Fu's sentiments on elevating their cooperation to the level of a strategic partnership.  The two sides agreed to further deepen exchanges and cooperation in the fields of news and information."

China state media, which censors out any mention of its genocide against the Uighurs in Xinjiang. Then again, so does UN state media under Fleming and Ian Phillips - as Fleming refuses to even answer letters about freedom of the Press from pro bono law firms Duane Morris and Quinn Emanuel.

Birds of a feather, a fish rots from the head.
